Volney Road Review
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
- Please include a short cover letter introducing yourself, as well as a third-person bio.
- All submissions should be sent in doc, docx, or pdf.
- Formatting for all pieces should be in Times New Roman, pt. 12 font.
- Prose submissions must be double-spaced.
- We accept previously unpublished work.
- We do accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know as soon as possible if your submission is accepted elsewhere.
- We allow one submission per author.
- Send us anywhere from 1-5 poems all in one document. We prefer a maximum of 5 pages of poetry.
- For prose pieces (both creative-nonfiction and fiction), the word limit is 2,500 words. We will accept one prose piece per author.
- We accept up to 10 pieces of visual art per artist.
- All rights revert back to author upon publication.
- In "Name of Submission" field, please include the CATEGORY you're submitting to as well as a name for your submission. For example, "Poetry: 3 poems."
- DO NOT INCLUDE ANY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION IN YOUR DOCUMENT, AS ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE READ BLINDLY.
- IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW SUBMISSION GUIDELINES, YOUR SUBMISSION WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE DECLINED.
